Barcelonaaaa! Day 1.

Here starts my series of posts on my trip to Barcelona, Madrid, and Lisbon.
I wrote these posts a while ago, but wasn't able to get the photos up with them until I got back to Cambridge...

I was really excited to get to Barcelona and meet up with the other CMErs, Teresa, Nati, Miriam, and Marianne. 

On the plane ride, I started chatting with the man next to me. He has 4 kids, each living in a different country, and has been married to his wife for 50 years! He kept giving me life advice, and told me to not drink from my soda can (I always order sprite lemonade and orange juice) and should pour it into a cup instead. "Rats poop on these cans, you know."

Jon and I arrived at the hostel an hour after the MIT kids and met up with them just in time for some lunch!

We went out to an Irish Bar (I know, I know...) with some Dutch guys we met at the hostel and lucky for us, it was Karaoke Night!

Teresa, Nati, and I sang our drunken hearts out to "Just Give Me A Reason" by P!nk and Nate Reuss, and it probably sounded really bad.
